Therapist Description:Our bodies and minds are inherently oriented toward healing, yet we may be left feeling confused, overwhelmed, and in rare cases even traumatized following a visionary experience. I come to the world of psychotherapy following a decade-long career as a professional birth doula (similar to midwife). Holding others through intense life experiences has always seemed to draw me, and providing support in integrating psychedelic work has seemed a natural extension of my passions.
My first concern is your sense of trust, and I effort to support our relationship from the start by inviting your expression of personal agency to our work. I trust your psyche’s inner healing intelligence to guide and inform our journey, and our work together will gently explore ways of accessing the parts of you that wish to effect meaningful change. My commitment to authentic communication and a steady openness to your feedback serve to sustain and fortify the foundation of our work together.
I have undergone the MAPS MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy Training, served on the board of ERIE (Entheogenic Research, Integration and Education), co-facilitated ERIE’s countless weekly integration gatherings, volunteered with MAPS’ Zendo, worked as a night attendant for Phase II MDMA clinical trials, and attended the psychedelic integration training at the MAPS Psychedelic Science conference.
Credentials: M.A., Associate MFTTherapeutic Orientation: I work experientially, incorporating elements of Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and mindfulness-based practices.Affiliation: Holos InstituteRemote Practitioner: YesPhotos
